So. What's your opinion of Telepromptergate?

Your freedom to add and change rules in the middle of the game is in direct conflict with my ability to understand that rules system before I decided whether or not to join your game.
In short, your entire post is dismissive of not merely my intelligence, but my agency. And I don't mean agency as a player within one of your games, I mean my agency as a person. You do not want me to be informed when I make the fundamental decisions of deciding whether to join your game or buying your rules system.
Political extremists are suing to have Obama removed from office for pulling a Milli Vanilli. Essentially, they claim that people didn't vote for the real Obama because he covered up himself as a candidate by using a teleprompter.
My son makes me laugh. Maybe he'll make you laugh, too.

Great. So that means we can pull Bill O'Reilly and Sean Hannity and Glenn Beck off the air now, right? I mean, clearly they're hiding something as well...Maj wrote:Political extremists are suing to have Obama removed from office for pulling a Milli Vanilli. It's a troll, and the fact that we're discussing it at all means that it was an effective one.
The law in its majestic equality forbids the rich as well as the poor from stealing bread, begging and sleeping under bridges.

This is a pretty good analysis of what Prompter'gate' is about.

Once upon a time, (word)gate implied an actual scandal, something that might be worth impeaching (or, you know, ARRESTING) someone over.
Like inventing a reason to send countless troops to a war, then lying at recruitment so people signed on as engineers find themselves walking on the frontline with a firearm, dragging the rest of the world into the pointless conflict, flushing trillions of dollars down the toilet, only destablising the region even more and making the locals actually hate you more, kidnapping and torturing people, and of course providing such terrible conditions for your own soldiers that they die of electrocution while taking a shower.
As an example.

After Monicagate the -gate suffix has lost any seriousness to it. It's only sufficient for parodies now, much like the word 'socialism' and 'Islamofacism' in the US.Like inventing a reason to send countless troops to a war, then lying at recruitment so people signed on as engineers find themselves walking on the frontline with a firearm, dragging the rest of the world into the pointless conflict, flushing trillions of dollars down the toilet, only destablising the region even more and making the locals actually hate you more, kidnapping and torturing people, and of course providing such terrible conditions for your own soldiers that they die of electrocution while taking a shower.

Ha ha ha. Yeah, right. Nothing is going to come of this. Bush is going to get off scott free and the proudly ignorant and/or greedy fascists who want to kill the US are going to whitewash his history like they did with Reagan.angelfromanotherpin wrote:Well, it looks like our best hope for that these days is Spain.
